I started working at Beattie Pet Hospital in January 2022, my love for animals is what inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I truly believe animals are innocent, pure, and incredibly devoted to their families, and they deserve the same love and care in return. I’ve always spent most of my time with my own animals, so being able to build a career around caring for them brings me a lot of comfort, joy, and fulfillment.
I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in the summer of 2022 with an undergraduate degree in Biology. I later completed the Veterinary Technician program at Thompson Rivers University, graduating in 2025. I was drawn to Beattie Pet Hospital because of the variety of experience the clinic offers, as well as the hands-on training and opportunities for growth.
One of the things I enjoy most about my job is building connections with both our patients and their owners. It means a lot to be able to provide comfort to pet parents and reassure them that their pets — who are truly part of their family — are being cared for and loved. Seeing our patients improve and get better is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
I believe that building strong relationships with clients is one of the most important parts of veterinary medicine. Just like in human medicine, trust is essential. When people trust us with the care of their pets, it allows us to provide the best possible treatment tailored to each individual animal.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dogs, hiking, jogging, and baking. At home, I have a Golden Retriever named Blossom who keeps me active and reminds me every day why I love working with animals.
